Made this after making a real apple pie, sadly this one is not edible and doesn't smell as good buuuuuuut it's cute so that's okay ;P.

chalk pastels, they are the best for making polymer clay creations look baked ;P

Well I have a little palette that i keep my loose pastel dust in (I use a x-acto knife and shave the pastel to get the pastel dust) then you just brush it on. :)

hmm interesting. what about the parts of the cake like the lemon merang that look like a seethrough-ish creamy yellow? how do you colour those parts?

Well the clay itself is coloured, and you can mix colours just like paint to get your own colours. With the lemon meringue one I used a transparent yellow clay that fimo makes.

haha, well you gotta start somewhere!, the first few things I made are quite embarrassing, but if I can do it, you can do it! :XD:

I was thinking of making a tutorial, or more of a 'my process and tools' type of thing, but I don't know what to make in it ;P.

I didn't, but I should've! probably would've helped XD cause i was battling with this little guy for awhile. It's a replica off a pie me and my dad made the day before ;P.
